Lip Neutralization

a corrective cosmetic tattoo treatment for lips with darker, cool-toned, or uneven pigmentation.

Warm-toned pigments are used to brighten and balance blue, purple, or brown areas, creating a more even and natural-looking lip tone. This service is ideal for clients with two-tone lips or hyperpigmentation who may not achieve even results with standard Lip Blush alone. Once the tone is neutralized, clients may choose to add a Lip Blush color for a soft, enhanced finish.

Service & Experience

→ Consultation & Lip Assessment

Your appointment begins with a detailed consultation where we evaluate:

  • Your natural lip color and undertones

  • Areas of darkness, cool tones, or uneven pigmentation

  • Your long-term color goals

  • Whether you desire eventual lip blush color or subtle natural correction

  • Any history of cold sores, lip sensitivity, or prior procedures

This assessment determines the most appropriate neutralizing pigments and whether one or multiple sessions may be needed.

→ Mapping & Customization

A soft outline is created to define your natural lip shape without altering the structure.
Because neutralization focuses on correcting tone, the outline is used primarily for:

  • Balancing symmetry

  • Enhancing blurred or uneven borders

  • Ensuring consistency of correction across both lips

The mapping is shown to you for approval, prior to beginning.

→ The Lip Neutralization Technique

Lip Neutralization uses carefully selected warm-toned pigments—such as peach, orange, or coral hues—to counteract cool, dark, or uneven tones in the lips.
This technique is performed using a cosmetic tattoo machine to layer pigments slowly and evenly.

※ Benefits of the Neutralization Method:

  • Corrects dark, cool, or uneven pigmentation

  • Softens two-tone or multi-tone lips

  • Brightens and warms the natural lip color

  • Creates a more even canvas for future Lip Blush sessions

  • Produces a subtle, natural enhancement once healed

  • Helps restore harmony and color balance to the lips

Neutralization is not meant to produce a bright lipstick look.
It focuses on color correction to achieve an even, warm base tone.
